HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The left lane of Highway 290 westbound between Beltway 8 and FM 529 has been closed for an emergency pavement repair, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
Officials said the two outside main lanes remain open.

TxDOT released a statement that read, in part:
"Safety is our top priority and TxDOT is coordinating with the contractor to assess repairs and mobilize crews and equipment to the location."
Authorities said they expect the lane to be closed through Monday morning.
