LOOK! KPRC 2 gets special gift from viewer

HOUSTON – KPRC 2 received a neat gift from Della Meredith, a La Porte woman who spoke exclusively with KPRC 2 about carving a wooden J.J. Watt statue with a chainsaw. Meredith created a KPRC wooden statue and delivered it to the news station. She worked on it Thursday and brought it to us on Friday morning. Many of us were surprised at how quick she was able to make it.

Meredith has been getting a lot of attention since she showed off her miniature J.J. Watt statue. Even Watt himself saw it and commented on our story on Twitter.

"I'm surprised at the attention the story has received. Overall, I think it's great that people are talking about a piece of art. I think it's interesting how the story combines sports and art. They are usually at different ends of the spectrum," Meredith said.
