Police seek public's help in case of deadly convenience store shooting

HOUSTON – Police have released surveillance video of a vehicle in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a southeast Houston convenience store last month.

The victim, Eddie Gaderson, was in front of the AM Mini Mart at 6830 Cullen on the afternoon of Feb. 21 when an SUV pulled up and someone inside fired shots at Gaderson, according to police.
The 30-year-old died at the scene.  “There were some other people near the store when this happened, so it could have been a lot worse than what it was,” said Detective Bart Nabors of the Houston Police Department.

The SUV is described as a BMW X series, possibly gray, with a sunroof. Police said it might have paper tags, with no front plate, and the back of the side-view mirrors are shiny, possibly chrome-plated.

Investigators believe multiple people were inside the SUV at the time of the shooting.

Shortly after that shooting, a man and woman were left in critical condition after another shooting on Cullen Boulevard.

Cameras caught the moments outside the Time Rise Mart on Bellfort Street. Police said the gunman used an assault rifle to shoot a man who was sitting in a silver car outside the gas station.

Detectives aren’t sure whether the two shootings are connected.
Anyone with information in the case is asked to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
