BAYTOWN, Texas – A massive fire broke out at the ExxonMobil plant Thursday afternoon in Baytown.
Sky 2 aerials showed large flames and thick black smoke coming from the plant near the Houston Ship Channel.
Large water cannons were used by firefighters, who extinguished the fire shortly after 5 p.m..
ExxonMobil said there are no injuries and everyone is accounted for.
There is no reason for residents to shelter-in-place, according to the company.
Its staff will conduct air quality monitoring around the plant and the community.
