HOUSTON – A family was in mourning Tuesday evening after losing a love one to a weekend storm that left severe flooding and devastation across countless Houston neighborhoods.
Earlier Tuesday, a woman's body was found in a car near a drainage ditch in the 1800 block of Briar Creek, according to the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.
Family members identify the woman as 42-year-old Teri Rodriguez.
They said she was on her way back home when she somehow ended up in the drainage ditch.
Rodriguez is one of seven confirmed dead in relation to the storm.
