Two Houston gang members arrested; one still wanted

HOUSTON – Police are searching for a gang member in northeast Houston.

According to police, an officer was patrolling an apartment complex at 9555 Crofton St. around noon on May 20 when he came in contact with two known gang members who were trespassing.

Both men are known members of the street gang Knuckle Up Click.

When the officer initiated contact, Quendarious Emerson, 18, began to fight the officer and ran. After a pursuit, the officer took Emerson into custody. Emerson had two open warrants for aggravated robbery and felony theft.

In the robbery case, Emerson is accused of robbing a taxi driver at gunpoint with other gang members. In the theft case, he is accused of stealing from Saks 5th Avenue in the Galleria area. His criminal history also includes assault, possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest and criminal trespassing. For the latest incident, he is being charged with felony evading arrest on foot.

While Emerson was being taken into custody, Joseph Mayorga ran from the scene and was able to get away.

Mayorga has an open warrant for aggravated robbery. Police said he was involved in an armed robbery of a T-Mobile story in northwest Houston.

According to police, while officers were investigating the scene, another gang member, Antoine Austin, 21, was arrested for criminal trespassing. Austin's criminal history includes assault, burglary of a motor vehicle, theft, possession of marijuana, evading arrest in a vehicle, evading arrest on foot, interfering with a public servant, failure to identify and criminal trespassing.

Police are asking the public to help them find Mayorga. Anyone with information about his location is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
