HOUSTON – Multiple boys, according to an Alief Independent School District spokesman, are under investigation at Alief Middle School after they allegedly lured a female classmate to a school bathroom and sexually assaulted her.
The alleged incident happened May 9. Channel 2 has learned a letter was never sent home to parents. The decision to do so is left up to the principal of each campus in the district.
In this case, a district spokesman told Channel 2 that decision was made in order to protect the privacy rights of all the students involved but stressed all of the male students were immediately removed from campus as soon as campus administrators and police were notified.
So far, no one has been charged, but the school district and police are conducting investigations in hopes of turning over their findings so the district attorney can prosecute the case. A district spokesperson told Channel 2 this type of behavior will not be tolerated, and the district will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.
