HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating after a fatal accident at 2300 W. 11th Street around 4:25 a.m. on Oct. 1.
Police said a tan Chrysler 300 was speeding eastbound on West 11th Street when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in a grassy median and caught fire.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the man is pending notification to family members by officials.
