VIDEO: Sugar Land police search for man who robbed gym, Walmart at gunpoint

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Sugar Land police are searching for a man accused of robbing four area businesses last week, including a gym and a Walmart.

The man was caught on surveillance cameras last Monday at a Lifetime Fitness on Highway 6.

Police said he showed a pistol to a cafe employee and demanded cash. The employee couldn't open the register and was able to safely escape while she walked to the safe. No one was hurt, and the man was last seen leaving the store.

Police said in a press release that they believe, on the same day, the man targeted a Kroger in Fort Bend County, a Houston Walmart in the 9000 block of West Sam Houston Parkway near Bissonnet and another Walmart in Sugar Land.
