HOUSTON – It's a popular shopping spot with plenty of options, but as of late, it's been the prime target for car thieves.
"There have been break-ins in the garage almost every week and it’s got to stop. I's got to stop," Mirela Ioneseu said.
Ioneseu is one of the latest victims in a recent rash of car break-ins at the parking garage at Greenway Plaza.
She works nearby and says the break-ins are becoming all too common, which is leaving her and many others feeling unsafe.
"In the same day, they try to break into my car. It happened to another gentleman," she said.
Ioneseu said with nearly a half-dozen break-ins this week alone, she believes part of the issue could be what's lacking inside the garage.
"Probably one of the reasons is because there is no camera in the garage, no entrance or exit camera," Ioneseu said.
That's something she'll be talking with property management about very soon in an effort to get something done.
"I'm planning on making a complaint and maybe we can do something about it," Ioneseu said.
