HOUSTON – Firefighters are investigating what caused a car to burst into flames early Tuesday.
Officials said they were called at 2 a.m. to the Eastex Freeway and Aldine Mail Route and found a car engulfed in flames.
Firefighters said the driver pulled over when the car started smoking, the fire broke out moments later.
Both people in the car were able to escape the burning vehicle.
