Just ask any Houstonian (or even the Louisiana native, who wrote this article, and whose family took a road trip to Astroworld every summer), the thrills off the 610 South Loop feeder were endless -- from the epic roller coasters Greezed Lightnin', The Viper, and the Texas Tornado, to Thunder River, the ride sure to soak you from head to toe.
Even though it's no longer there, Astroworld lives on in the memories of nostalgic Houstonians. There are Facebook pages dedicated to the park. At least one documentary has been made about it.
