RICHMOND, Texas – A car on Thursday crashed into a Sugar Land fire station near Richmond.

The crash was reported about 11:15 p.m. at Fire Station 6 on Sansbury Boulevard.

Investigators said the driver of a car lost control for a yet-unknown reason and slammed into the front doors of the fire station. They said the driver was unconscious and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said firefighters were inside the station at the time of the crash, but it was not immediately clear if any of them were injured.
