TEXAS CITY, Texas – The body of a man who fell from a boat in Moses Lake on Friday was recovered Saturday afternoon in Texas City, officials said.
Three men told investigators that while they were on the boat, they looked back to see their friend, identified by Texas EquuSearch as 40-year-old Jinu Joseph, missing. They did not know when he fell, or where. The friends said Joseph was not wearing a life jacket, according to officials.
The search shifted to "recovery mode" Saturday morning, officials with the Texas City Fire Department said.
Joseph's body was recovered three miles away from the area he disappeared from, officials said.
