HOUSTON – A man was hit by a truck and killed Monday night on the North Freeway, officials said.
According to police, the man was trying to cross the freeway in 1200 block around 9:15 p.m. when he was hit by a Chevy Silverado in the southbound lanes.

The woman driving the truck stopped to help the man, police said.
He was taken to Memorial Hermann hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver was questioned and released. She is not expected to be charged.
