HOUSTON – Police said they have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of another man, whose body was found in a car in northeast Houston last week.
According to Houston police, the body 19-year-old Foronado Murphy was found July 31 in a car near the intersection of Bennington Street and Lockwood Drive.

Investigators said they believe Murphy was driving along Bennington Street when 22-year-old Derrick Patterson pulled alongside. The two men got into an argument and Murphy was shot. He died at the scene.
Patterson was later identified by witnesses as the gunman, police said.
Patterson was charged with murder. He was being held at the Harris County Jail.
