Black Heritage Day Friday at Houston Rodeo

HOUSTON – The concert lineup, the horses, the cattle and fashions on display  are all reasons to go to the 2018 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

But there are some nights in particular that hold a special meaning. 

Friday is Black Heritage Day. The daylong event includes live entertainment on the Stars Over Texas stage.

Some of Houston's finest bands, choirs, dance teams, cheerleader teams and fine arts groups; special entertainment at the champion wine garden in the Hideout.

There will also be historical and educational displays around the grounds of NRG Park. 

And the day is capped off by a performance from Leon Bridges.
