HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a convenience store clerk was shot and killed Saturday in southwest Houston, officials said.
The shooting was reported at 8:30 p.m. at Sunny Food Mart in the 9000 block of South Dairy Ashford Road.

Police identified the victim as 66-year-old Hafeez Qureshi.
According to witnesses, three armed men walked into the store and demanded cash from the register, police said. Witnesses said just before the suspects ran out of the store, they shot Qureshi several times, police said.
The shooters were described as thin-built black men, around 20 years old and approximately 6 feet tall, officials said. They were last seen wearing dark hoodies and running toward a neighborhood.
