HOUSTON – The lawyer of the 5-year-old Spring boy who police say was locked and starved under a closet says his client is on the road to recovery.
Jordan Bleimeyer weighed just 29 pounds and was covered in marks, sores and bruises when he was found about a month ago in his father's home. His father, Bradley Bleimeyer, and stepmother, Tammi Bleimeyer, are both charged with endangering a child. They have denied any wrongdoing.

On Friday, all lawyers involved in the case met for a hearing at the Harris County Family Law Center. Jordan's lawyer, Jared Woodfill, says the boy is getting mental and physical treatment. He is now living with his great aunt.
A big topic of discussion at the hearing was what to do with all the money that has been donated to Jordan and some of his family members since he was discovered. The lawyer representing Jordan's biological mother, Windy Hall, says money has been donated to her and she should be able to keep it.
"I'm advocating for money to come to her so that she can use it for herself, which will benefit the child," Frank Mann said.
But the lawyer who is now Jordan's legal guardian says all of the money raised due to the circumstances should be set aside in a fund just for Jordan.
"The court wants to make sure that any funds raised are used for the benefit of the child," Stewart Gagnon said.
Mann says if the money is set aside in a fund, much of it wouldn't be available to use until Jordan is 18. He says there is a need to use the funds now.
The judge decided that for now, all funds will be placed in the hands of the court, then a judge will later decide how to allocate those funds.
Mann plans to set another hearing to further discuss that decision.
