HOUSTON – The Texas Department of Transportation has released a list of the most congested roads in Texas and there are several Houston roadways are on it.
Six Houston-area highways were deemed by TxDOT as some of the worst in the state.
The 610 west loop south between Interstate 10 and 59 South is the second most congested road in Texas.

Number three was 59 between I-10 and 288. Number four on the list was 59 between 610 west and 288. Rounding off the top ten, I-10 between North Eldridge Parkway and Sam Houston Tollway West and I-45 between the tollway northwest and 610 north.
According to TxDOT, more than a third of the top 100 most congested roadways in the state are in Harris County.
