Joel Eisenbaum is an Emmy-winning reporter at KPRC 2 News. He joined the station in June 2005 and, in 2007, he helped start KPRC 2's Wheel of Justice unit. Joel is a part of the KPRC 2 Investigates team.
Joel was already a transplanted Texan before he got to Houston. He moved to San Antonio in 2002 to work at the NBC affiliate, where he met his wife, KPRC 2 reporter Amy Davis.

His career has taken him to several states, including Alabama, Wyoming and California. Joel grew up in Denver and attended college at Colgate University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He received a master's degree in broadcast journalism at the University of Southern California.
As a reporter, Joel enjoys meeting interesting people and not knowing what he will be doing on a day-to-day basis.
His proudest professional achievements include covering the war in Iraq aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, reporting on several hurricanes and helping police catch hundreds of fugitives with his Wheel of Justice colleagues.
In 2010, The Wheel of Justice team was honored with a regional Edward R. Murrow award for continuing coverage. The crew followed the story of a young girl who had been left for dead in an open field... but survived. Eighteen years later, investigators made an arrest in the case. Joel and his colleagues also received two Lone Star Emmy Awards for this coverage.
Also in 2010, The Wheel of Justice team was presented with the Leon Goldstein Award for public service from Crime Stoppers of Houston.
The Texas Associated Press named him "best reporter" in 2010. The Alabama Associated Press gave him the same award in 2001. Joel has won other AP awards for spot news coverage, general assignment reporting and series reporting.
Joel was the Houston Press Club's runner-up "Television Journalist of the Year" in 2009 and was awarded two Lone Star Emmy Awards for his live reporting during Hurricane Ike and for a consumer investigative story.
In his spare time, Joel loves pretending he knows how to fix motorcycles, running, fishing, and spending time with his family.
