There will be several public meetings leading up to the joining of the two districts. TCISD will host a Parent and Community Meeting in the gymnasium at Carver Recreation Center at 6615 Park Avenue on Dec. 10 from 6 until 8 p.m.
Community members will have a chance to submit question before the meeting by emailing lmisdannex@tcisd.org. Responses to those questions can be found at www.tcisd.org under announcements.
“Although it’s early in the planning process, we want to assure both communities that we value neighborhood schools and the long, proud tradition of the La Marque Cougars and the Texas City Stingarees. With this in mind, students will continue to attend their neighborhood schools for the 2016-2017 school year,” Lusignolo said in a press release.
