Man, woman killed in murder-suicide in north Harris County, deputies say

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man and woman were fatally shot in the head Thursday afternoon in north Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman and man were found in a parking lot of a business in the 13000 block of Kuykendahl Road. Investigators said the two people who died were in a relationship and had been fighting.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies responded to the call Thursday afternoon around 5 p.m. Investigators said a car pulled into a Valero gas station parking lot on Kuykendahl. Investigators said inside the car was a man and woman who deputies say were dating. The incident was caught on surveillance video, according to investigators.

The couple was seen entering and exiting the car multiple times, according to deputies. Eventually, investigators said, the boyfriend chased his girlfriend down and shot her in the head. The man then shot himself, deputies said.

When Harris County Pct. 4 investigators arrived, both people involved in the shooting were pronounced dead at the scene.

“That’s been captured on the store video. We have the video. We’re in the early stages of the investigation. We have family members here who we’re talking to,” said Sgt. Ben Beall with Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit.

Investigators did not release the identities of the deceased.
