Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigating after pedestrian hit by train, deputies say

Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a person was killed in a train accident Wednesday morning. (KPRC)

Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies are investigating after a person was killed in a train accident Wednesday morning.

According to deputies, the accident happened in Montgomery County but the train stopped in Harris County just north of Aldine Bender and Old Humble when the discovery was made just before 7 a.m.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said they received a report that the moving train may have “struck a cyclist” at some point before coming to a stop. Authorities are now searching the track.

Investigators have not released many details surrounding the accident.

Gonzalez said the crossing at Old Humble Road is temporarily closed.
