Sunbury shooting

The third shooting happened around 2:45 a.m. Saturday in northeast Harris County.

Authorities said the victim in his 30s loaned his vehicle to another person Friday afternoon. When he went to get his car back, the person borrowing it refused to give it back, officials said.

Officials said the victim and a friend went looking for the person who had the car and found him at a gas station in the area.

Upon the encounter, the man drove away from the victim, who followed the person through neighborhoods in the area before both vehicles stopped at the intersection of Sunbury Street and Haight Street, according to authorities.

At that point, authorities said the driver of the borrowed vehicle began to taunt the victim and opened fire on him.

The victim was transported to a trauma center with a gunshot wound to his abdomen where he underwent surgery. Authorities did not give his exact condition.
