HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for the man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in the southwest Houston area.
The incident happened around 4:15 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex on Westridge Street near Kirby Drive and NRG Park, police said.

According to authorities, Houston Police Department patrol officers responded to a call about a traffic hazard in the area.
When they arrived, police said they realized the incident was actually a shooting and there was a victim who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The 36-year-old victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Authorities were able to determine the shooter fled the scene in a blue, 2019 Dodge Charged with the Texas license plate, NVK7618. After further investigation and witness statements, authorities said they were able to identify Cecil Turner, 24, as the suspect in the case.
Turner was subsequently charged with murder in connection with the shooting. Police said he remains at large.
