More than 100 soldiers come home to Texas after 9-month Middle East deployment

HOUSTON – More than 100 soldiers from the 1-133rd Field Artillery Regiment returned home to Texas Wednesday after a nine month deployment to the Middle East.

The unit, which is arriving at Hobby Airport, supported Multinational Force and Observers, an international peacekeeping force overseeing the terms of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.

Texas Military Department Senior Military Officials, family and friends, and various members of the Houston Texans football team attended the arrival event at 1:30 p.m. The Rodeo’s Armed Forces Appreciation Committee held the flags.
