HOUSTON – A 17-year-old is now charged after he was shot in the hip during a fight in southwest Houston on Thursday, police said.
Kaleb Davis, who was hurt in the incident, is charged with deadly conduct/discharge of a firearm.

Houston police responded to reports of a shooting outside of a Popeye’s restaurant located in the 12500 block of Bellaire around 5:00 p.m.

According to police, Davis got into a fight with an unknown suspect at a convenience store. During the argument, Davis pulled out a gun and shot at a crowd of individuals, including the unknown suspect, according to HPD.
Police said as many as three people in the group fired back, striking Davis one time in the hip. The three shooting suspects then fled the scene. Paramedics transported Davis to the hospital in stable condition.
