According to HPD, a woman and man - who police said was either her husband or boyfriend - made arrangements to meet someone near Montgomery Elementary School to potentially buy a car.
The prospective buyers arrived to the location, and were still sitting inside their vehicle, when three to four men brandishing guns began walking toward them.
The couple immediately tried to get away, with the male driver accidentally backing into a pole.
That is when the suspects began shooting at the two, with one of the rounds going through the car and striking the woman in the shoulder.
The victims drove to a nearby fire station for help. The woman was taken to the hospital. Her condition was not known.
Police did not have descriptions of the suspects, only confirming they were all wearing black or dark-colored hoodies.
Police said it appears the suspects were either going to rob the couple of the cash they brought to possibly buy the car, or steal their vehicle as well.
