1. Teen flown to hospital after shooting outside business in northwest Harris County: HCSO

A teen was airlifted to the hospital Thursday after being shot outside a business in northwest Harris County, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

The shooting was reported around 4 p.m. at a business parking lot located in the 6800 block of Fry Road, near 529.

Gonzalez said the male victim, believed to be around 16 or 17 years old, was seriously injured and flown to a hospital via Life Flight.

2. Missing teen last seen in Spring believed to be in immediate danger, Texas EquuSearch says

A missing 17-year-old who was last seen in Spring is believed to be in immediate danger, according to Texas EquuSearch.

Tyler Shahnarad has been missing since Feb. 26.

He is described as having dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes and a mole on his upper left chest. He was last seen wearing a bright green and yellow jacket, black sweatpants and black tennis shoes.

Details about why officials think he is in danger were not released.

3. Charges filed against woman accused in murders of couple, child killed in home invasion as 10-year-old plays dead

A woman has been charged in a 2021 home invasion that left a couple and their 6-year-old child shot to death, and a 10-year-old girl injured, according to records.

Alexus Williams, 29, was charged with three counts of capital murder, in addition to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for her role in the triple homicide that happened on June 30, 2021, according to charging documents.

Xavier Davis, 28, who was arrested in 2021, was also charged with three counts of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened at an apartment complex located at 12101 Fondren Rd.

Investigators said a 10-year-old girl told relatives a man knocked on the door of her family’s home, and when her father answered, he came inside.

4. Home invasion, robbery in Pearland caught on camera; 4 suspects still on the run: Police

The Pearland Police Department is asking for the public’s help with indentifying four home invasion robbery suspects that are reportedly still on the run.

It occurred on Bend Creek Lane in Pearland on February 24, 2022, around 4:15 p.m.

According to investigators, a Hispanic male suspect approximately 16 years of age knocked on the front door and requested to use the telephone before producing a semi-automatic handgun and forcibly entering the residence.

Police said a second male suspect with a husky build and dark complexion whose age is unknown displayed a rifle and entered the home after the first suspect.

5. 10 incumbent judges lose in Harris County Democratic primary, 1 headed to runoff

With the polls long closed, the unofficial results show ten incumbent judges in Harris County lost in Tuesday’s Democratic primary election and one is headed to a runoff.

Among the losing candidates: four criminal district court judges, two county criminal court judges and two family court judges.

“By and large, most Harris County Democratic primary voters have no idea who any of these people are,” said Mark Jones, a professor of political science at Rice University, who believes several factors played a role.

“Thus when they get to those races, they tend to vote somewhat randomly or women tend to vote for women, men tend to vote for men, Latinos tend to vote for Latinos because that’s the only information they have,” said Jones.
