HOUSTON – Authorities with the Houston Police Department were responding to a reported shooting at The Galleria Saturday afternoon.
According to officials, a person was shot in the leg near the Shake Shack restaurant inside the mall around 6:50 p.m. The victim, only described as a 28-year-old man, was taken to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

It is unclear how the shooting began.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived. He was described only as a Black male.
