Emergency workers responding to an apartment fire in North Harris County tried but were not able to save two dogs discovered in the unit that burned.
The Little York Fire Department was called to the complex on Ella Blvd. and Greenwell Dr. just before 11:00 p.m. Tuesday night.

Firefighters who put out the fire found flames coming from at least one unit when they arrived.
At least two people were evaluated by medics at the scene.
The emergency workers attempted CPR and gave oxygen to two dogs also found at the location, but the animals did not survive.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office will investigate to determine the cause of the fire.
