Naked man continuously breaks into SE Houston home, owner says

HOUSTON, Texas – A homeowner in southeast Houston is forced to leave her house and stay with friends after a naked burglar broke into her home twice in four days.

America Barrera shared Ring doorbell video of the break-ins with KPRC and said they took place Thursday and Saturday.

In the footage, you can see the suspected burglar smashing a back window and entering the home.

“He took my shotgun, and he took some clothes,” Barrera said. “He was here awhile. He had the TV [on], he drank a beer here and left a knife on my bed.”

Two days later, the man returned, but this time Barrera was home.

She told KPRC she was forced to run away and call for help while the burglar again stole her clothes and underwear.

Barrera said she called the Houston Police Department on both occasions.

“The officers mentioned that he must have an obsession with clothes, but I don’t know,” said Barrera.

Barrera claims the responding officers identified the suspect as a homeless man who lives in the area.

“I asked, ‘Well if I drive around, and I find him and I call you, can you arrest him?’ And they said no because a judge has to sign a warrant.”

Barrera is hopeful an arrest will be made soon so she can return to her home.

KPRC called HPD to see when an arrest might be made but were unable to get any answers.
