More than 130,000 customers affected by power outages in the Houston area, CenterPoint Energy says

People across the Houston area dealt with severe weather Wednesday night, causing thousands of residents to be without power.

According to CenterPoint Energy, 138,562 customers were affected as of 8:15 p.m.

Additionally, 4,029 active outages were reported around 8:30 p.m.
