HOUSTON – Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide Tuesday night in northeast Harris County, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at 7:57 p.m. in the 200 block of Assay Street, near Beltway 8 and West Lake Houston Parkway.
Homicide and CSO investigators also responded to the scene.
Detectives learned that the woman’s daughter hadn’t heard from her mother all day and showed up at the apartment to check on her well-being. The woman’s current boyfriend also showed up and forced entry into the apartment where they found the mother and ex-boyfriend dead.
Investigators were told that the ex-boyfriend and woman had a domestic violence history.
Investigators are talking to family members and possible witnesses.
No identities have been released.
