In a statement Thursday night, CenterPoint said, “Efforts continue around the clock to clear debris from powerlines, make repairs and restore power to impacted areas following last night’s storm. Based on the progress made, we anticipate those currently without power will remain out into tomorrow. Damage assessment, including physical inspection of lines and restoration planning will pick up once daylight returns. If someone in a customer’s home depends on electricity for life-sustaining equipment, we recommend they make other arrangements for tonight. In the meantime, we’ll continue working around the clock to safely restore service. We recognize this experience has been disruptive for many and restoring power remains our top priority.”
