An investigation is underway after police say a woman was shot at least one time at a Stafford motel Wednesday morning.
According to investigators, the shooting happened at a motel located in the 11200 block of Lebon Lane where Houston Police Department officers said she was shot multiple times.
The woman got inside her vehicle and drove herself to a nearby gas station on South Kirkwood Road and Sugar Grove where she sought help.
Authorities were called to the gas station and found what appeared to be bullet holes in the vehicle. The woman was taken to an area hospital where she is in stable condition at this time.
At this time, investigators have not released a potential motive for why the woman was shot. A search for a suspect remains ongoing.
