Shelter-in-place order lifted for residents near Atascocita Road after natural gas line rupture

ATASCOCITA, Texas – A shelter-in-place has been lifted for residents who live in the neighborhood along Atascocita Road and Blackstone Trails Drive after a nearby natural gas line rupture, according to the Atascocita Fire Department.

CenterPoint crews responded to the scene to make repairs to the 6-inch gas main. The time frame for repairs was expected to take at least two hours, officials said.

According to officials, access to The Blackstone Creek subdivision via Blackstone Trails Drive was reopened.

One westbound lane of Atascocita Road will remain closed while CenterPoint finishes working.
