Investigators said on Nov. 28, deputy constables received reports about a cybercrime involving a minor who was being blackmailed into sending explicit photos and videos of herself to an unknown suspect through social media.
Investigators with Constable Herman’s High Tech Crimes Unit and Special Victims Unit began a lengthy investigation into identifying the suspect. Using forensic exams of cell phones and data, authorities said they were able to identify Roger, who had an open warrant for his arrest.
The new charge was filed and the suspect was reported arrested by authorities in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Rogers is currently awaiting trial in Wilmington before being extradited back to Harris County.
