Officers were flagged down by people regarding a disturbance in the area. Police said when they arrived, Stevenson was found on a sidewalk unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics pronounced her dead soon after.
According to detectives, Stevenson, who was a mother of one, was walking to work when she was robbed and stabbed multiple times. Witnesses described the suspect as a woman who was wearing black clothing and riding a blue “cruiser-style” bicycle. Further investigation and tips from members of the community identified Blossom as the suspect in the stabbing.
On Wednesday, HPD SWAT team officers arrested Blossom without incident at her residence in the 10200 block of Beechnut Street. She was charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.
Blossom was out on a PR bond for an aggravated assault of a family member charge she received in 2021. Documents from this previous case stated that if Blossom violated her bond conditions and failed to appear in court, she would have to pay $10,000 plus “all necessary and reasonable expenses incurred in any arrest for failure to appear.”
