HOUSTON – A teen has been charged in a woman’s death after his vehicle fatally struck her while she slept under a Katy Freeway bridge in northwest Houston on Friday night, according to the Houston Police Department.
Hunter Cameron Villasana, 17, was charged with intoxication manslaughter. He appeared in court Monday where his charges were read.

The identity of the woman is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
What happened
The crash was reported at 11:25 p.m. on Silber Road under I-10.
Police said the woman was sleeping under the bridge when she was struck by a black Mercedes GLK350 traveling eastbound near the Katy Freeway.
Investigators said Villasana attempted to turn northbound onto Silber Road at an unsafe speed, but failed to stay in a single lane. The vehicle struck a curb before hitting the sleeping woman and then slamming into a wall.
Villasana showed signs of intoxication and tried to flee the scene but was held by nearby Jack in the Box employees until police arrived, according to HPD.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Villasana was arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the crash.
