MONT BELVIEU, Texas – The City of Mont Belvieu said the transportation of a large load scheduled for Sunday evening will require lane closures both on the I-10 main lanes and the frontage road.
“The transport of the large load will be moving across I-10 and will require rolling closures of the frontage lanes and the main lanes of I-10 - but not all at the same time,” the city said.

The city said the closure of the south frontage road will be at 10 p.m., the traffic switch from the westbound main lanes to the north frontage road will be at 10:30 p.m.
Once traffic is on the north frontage road, the main lanes of I-10 closure will occur allowing the heavy haul to cross I-10 until it arrives at the off ramp for SH 146 where traffic will be allowed on the main lanes again.
The heavy haul transport will then move north on SH 146. The main area of I-10 affected by the haul will be between SH 99 and FM 3180.
“If you are out and about on Sunday night, please be sure to stay aware of shifting traffic patterns and expect delays in this area,” the city said.
