Car catches on fire after 5-vehicle crash on Gulf Freeway at US 69; several lanes closed

HOUSTON – A car caught on fire after a multi-vehicle crash on the Gulf Freeway at IH-69, according to Houston TranStar.

The crash was reported at 2:38 p.m. and involved five vehicles at IH-69 direct connect ramp at Lockwood Drive.

There were no injuries reported, according to the Houston Police Department.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area as emergency crews work to clear the scene.
