If you don’t know, Scarface is a founding member of the legendary rap group hailing from the 713, the Geto Boys.

The group, which got their start in Houston’s Fifth Ward, consisted of Scarface and Willie D, and the late Bushwick Bill.

According to the Texas State Historical Association, they are also “one of the first groups to pioneer what critics would call the “gangsta rap” genre within hip-hop by telling the real and fictional stories of the life of marginalized people in urban communities like Houston’s Fifth Ward.”

In his NPR Tiny Desk performance, Facemob brought out the multi-talented producer Mike Dean. On vocals, Jordan brought the incomparable voice of Steven “Spud” Howard alongside him as well as Takai “Cookie” Hicks and Peigh Jones.

Peigh Jones also played the guitar with Corey “FunkaFingers” Stoot. Josh Henderson and Jason “The Bishop” Allen were featured on the keys. On drums, Savar Martin, and on bass, Anthony “Antboogie” Nicholson.

There was even a special appearance from one of Face’s son, Bryce Jordan.
