HOUSTON – On Friday, our Miss Texas gets on a plane to compete in the 2024 Miss America Pageant.
This year’s Miss Texas is Ellie Breaux, of Missouri City.
Breaux began competing in 2019, working her way from becoming Miss Keller to winning the title of Miss Texas in July of 2023.
The last time Miss Texas won Miss America was nearly 49 years ago in 1975 when Shirley Cothran of Denton County took first place.
Wednesday night, you can wish Ellie good luck at her send-off at the Missouri City Community Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
