Ferman, taken into custody without incident, faces an outstanding felony warrant from Galveston County, with a bail set at $80,000 for charges related to stalking.

The League City Criminal Investigations Division initiated the probe on Dec. 8, following up on a Criminal Mischief incident at the victim’s residence on Dec. 1 when Ferman attempted to break into the victim’s home.

It was disclosed that the victim, a 15-year-old juvenile, had initially connected with Ferman on Snapchat in 2022. Subsequently, Ferman’s unwarranted advances escalated to the point where he began making explicit requests for sexual favors. After he was rebuffed, Ferman resorted to creating multiple accounts on various social media platforms, including Snapchat, Instagram, TikTok, and even resorting to regular text messages.

Alarming threats of sexual assault, harm, and death were made by Ferman towards the victim.

The League City Police Department emphasized in release the importance of parental vigilance in monitoring their children’s social media activities, including sharing location information with their friends on social media.
