HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in the deadly stabbing of another man on a METRO Rail line Sunday.
The victim was found in the 4500 block of Main Street at about 9:10 p.m. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect, who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall with dark hair. He was carrying a black backpack and was wearing a dark windbreaker jacket and a ball cap at the time of the incident.

METRO police officers responded to reports of a disturbance call between two men on the METRO Rail line platform at 1900 Main St. Officers said when they arrived, they searched the immediate area but did not locate the men. Dispatchers then told the officers of a stabbing victim found in one of the rail cars in the 4500 block of Main Street near the Wheeler Avenue stop. Officers said they found the unresponsive victim lying on the floor inside the rail car.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. He had reportedly suffered at least one stab wound.
