BAYTOWN, Texas – A Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputy and two others have been injured after being hit by a work truck driver on I-10 in Channelview Thursday morning.
The crash was reported on I-10 East at Cedar Lane around 7 a.m.
According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the deputy was responding to a crash when the truck driver drove through the scene, striking the deputy’s vehicle.
Update: @HCSOTexas deputy was handling a crash investigation on the shoulder of the freeway. A driver in a large work truck, hauling equipment on a gooseneck trailer, struck the patrol car and drove through the scene.

The deputy, along with two others, were transported to Memorial Herman Hospital in serious condition. The third person was transported to a different hospital in fair condition, according to Gonzalez.
