HOUSTON – A woman is now recovering after she reportedly started a fire while cooking on Wednesday night in west Houston.

The fire broke out at an apartment complex on Westheimer and Briargrove Drive at around 1 a.m.
Fire officials said that a woman had fallen asleep while cooking, which caused the fire.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control within just a few minutes.
The woman had minor injuries but is expected to be OK.
No other injuries were reported.
