HOUSTON – Due to an arctic cold front moving into the Houston area this week, several school districts are closing their campuses on Tuesday.

Aldine ISD
Aldine ISD schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16 due to the winter weather that has affected the Houston area.
Alief ISD
Alief ISD will remain closed on Tuesday and will reopen on Wednesday with a two-hour delayed start time. Transportation will follow the two-hour delay as well. For example, if your child’s bus normally arrives at 6:15 a.m., the bus will arrive at 8:15 a.m. There will be no early release for secondary campuses (middle and high school) on Wednesday.
The Alief YMCA on Howell-Sugarland Road will have a warming center for those in need. The tentative hours will be Monday 8 p.m. – Tuesday 8 a.m. and Tuesday 8 p.m. to Wednesday 8 a.m.
Alvin ISD
Alvin ISD will be closed on Tuesday for the safety and well-being of students and staff. Classes are scheduled to resume on Wednesday.
Alvin Community College
Due to the freezing conditions, ACC classes and offices will be closed Tuesday.
Amazing Kid’z Christian Academy and Achievers
Amazing Kid’z Christian Academy and Achievers will be closed Tuesday.
Angleton ISD
Due to the continued forecast of potential icy weather and unsafe travel concerns for our buses and students, all Angleton ISD schools and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 16. At this time, school will start as normal on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
The school board meeting scheduled for Jan. 16 has been postponed a week until Tuesday, Jan. 23.
Arrow Academy
All campuses will be closed on Tuesday.
Bethel’s Family Christian Academy
Bethel’s Family Christian Academy will be closed Tuesday.
Brazos ISD
Brazos ISD will be closed Tuesday.
Brazosport ISD
With the concern of icy road conditions on Tuesday morning, all Brazosport ISD schools and facilities will be closed. All after-school activities are also canceled for Tuesday.
Brazosport College
Due to winter weather and hazardous road conditions, all Brazosport College classes and operations, including the Bill & Julia May Children’s Center, will be closed Tuesday.

Channelview ISD will be closed Tuesday. All after-school activities, including Masterminds, athletics and fine arts practices have been canceled.
Clear Creek ISD
Clear Creek ISD made the decision to close on Tuesday.
Cleveland ISD
Because of concerns regarding extreme cold and wind chill conditions, Cleveland ISD will be closing all campuses and facilities on Tuesday. The warming centers at Cleveland Middle School and Santa Fe Middle School will be extending their hours of operation until 5 p.m. Tuesday. All enrolled Cleveland ISD students and their families are welcome.
Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD
Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD will be closed on Tuesday.
Conroe ISD
Due to icy road and bridge conditions and the extreme cold forecast during bus pick-up times, Conroe ISD will be closed on Tuesday.

Cornerstone Christian Academy in Fort Bend County will be closed on Tuesday.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, classes and activities have been canceled for Tuesday. All campuses, transportation services, and the administration building will be closed.
Galveston College
Due to inclement weather, Galveston College will be closed on Tuesday.
The closure includes both the GC main campus, located at 4015 Avenue Q, and the GC Applied Technology Center, located at 7626 Broadway St. in Galveston.
Goodrich ISD
Due to extreme inclement weather conditions and a power outage, Goodrich ISD will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Harmony Public Schools
All Harmony Houston-area schools and the district offices will be closed on Tuesday due to anticipated winter weather. All extra-curricular activities are also canceled.

All Spring ISD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday due to hazardous weather conditions. There will be no classes or after-school activities, and all district buildings will be closed.

All Spring Branch ISD schools and facilities will be closed Tuesday.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Texas Southern’s campus will be closed due to the impending freeze. However, classes and business operations will be remote. All classes on Tuesday and Wednesday will be conducted remotely via Blackboard. Faculty and staff will also be working remotely.
Tomball ISD
Due to the freezing temperatures and a strong wind chill, along with precipitation that could cause dangerous road conditions, Tomball ISD schools and offices will be closed Tuesday.
Normal operations are expected to resume on Wednesday.

All Two Dimensions Preparatory Academy Charter School campuses will be closed tomorrow due to the arctic forecast.
